New Walls on a Lancashire Park Home Back to case studies

Project Overview

The customer wanted textured cavity walls replaced with maintenance free cavity walls on their twelve year old, 32’ x 20’ Park Home situated in Lancashire.

The customer chose the maintenance free in RHODOS which is a pale, orangey-yellow colour.

Project Solution

We visited the home in April 2016 to speak to the customer in more depth about their requirements and what they hoped to achieve.

We took height, width and between-window measurements along with window and door measurements.  This enables us to be more precise about the quantity of material we use.  As the maintenance free product is imported from Germany it is quite expensive so we try to minimise waste as much as possible.

What Happens Next

Once the quote has been approved and all the paperwork is in place the material is ordered and a cutting list is drawn up.  Maintenance free comes in 6m lengths so it’s no mean feat getting it off the lorry and onto the racking!! We then cut the maintenance free product to length in our workshop.

With this job we needed to stay away overnight so the van was loaded with enough material to keep us going for about three days.  At the end of each working day we tidy up and make sure the home is waterproof.

Here’s a work-in-progress picture showing both the old textured wall (to the front) and the new maintenance free wall (to the side).

Very good and professional with the work carried out.  Also very knowledgeable at explaining things.  Very polite and clean up after themselves would have no worry about recommending the firm and its team.  Very happy with the service received.

It is always advisable to seak permission from the site owner before having any work done.
